Shortcuts:

I do like to take photo's. What's great is that my job takes me to different places in the world. I will never leave for a city trip--professional or family holiday--without camera and tripod.

I like architecture photography most (buildings, cityscapes, urban details), but I won't shy away from table top still life photography or natural light portraits. Lines, curves and perspectives are the elements I look for, and cities always seem to provide these. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot in places like Glasgow, Berlin, Cyprus, Vienna, Trondheim, Rotterdam, Milan and other beautiful places.

At home in Leiden, the Netherlands, I like to shoot family and friends do an occasional still life shot.

I shoot with a Sony Alpha 700. My most important lens for architecture is my Sigma 10-20mm. My Minolta 70-210 is also used. For portraits and 'bokeh' shots I use my Minolta 50mm f/1.7. My most valued accessory is my tripod, but the circular polariser filter and ND and ND grad filters are also used.

Flickr is a fantastic outlet for pictures. I regularly upload pictures into my Flickr profile, and I truly enjoy viewing the pictures of my on-line flickr friends, among whom there are many fantastic photographers. Flickr is a giant, dynamic beautiful picture book. Feel free to look around and comment on my pictures.

Speaking of books--my portfolio for urban / architecture shots is for sale on Blurb. I don't receive any profits--you just pay for the production and shipping costs and some tax (for Holland, €42.85). It's only available in hardcover and premium paper. It's very well produced, and will make a great gift. You can preview it below.

Alternatively, you can visit the Blurb page for the book. You can leave comments there--I'm curious to learn what you think about the book.

I also have pictures for sale at Getty Images ("We are a leading provider of digital media worldwide, creating and distributing a range of assets – from royalty-free stock photography and editorial images to footage, music and multimedia – that help communicators around the globe tell their stories.").
